Fractions: Thirds Worksheets

Teaching Fractions to Preschoolers:
In teaching Fractions to my preschoolers, I learned that the best way was to get them t understand the backdrop of it: Dividing a whole object into equal parts.
It is important to emphasize "equal" parts. I also learned that fractions are all about sharing. I started off with real-life objects, such as sharing a cookie, pizza or loaf of bread equally among my family members.
Once they get that concept, the rest will come a lot more easily to them. Use these worksheets after you have had a chance to talk to them about sharing and dividing whole objects. Have fun.
